BSc in Trauma and Orthopaedics (COM), Dip in Clinical orthopaedics (MCHS), Dip in Human Resource Development (SBC) and post graduate fellow in Global health implementation science (KUHes). She has an extensive experience working with a diverse range of population of patients with trauma and orthopaedic conditions across public and private sector; former orthopaedic clinical officer; (Beit Cure International Hospital, Queen Elizabeth central Hospital) and a current part time clinical associate trauma and orthopaedic technologist at SHIFA hospital, Malawi. She is an enthusiastic upcoming researcher whose objective is to effectively use the area of her specialization, abilities and skills to improve the health and wellbeing of people from low and middle income areas and beyond especially those injured through evidence based solutions. Since 2019, she has been managing the finances for the Malawi orthopaedic Association (MOA) as the treasure. As of September, 2022, she was elected as the president for the association after Mr Master Yesaya. Maureen values hard work, teamwork and collaboration. “Together we can”, is her motto..
