MBBS (COM), MAvMed (Second Military Medical University; China), FCS-Ortho (COSECSA). She is an Orthopaedic Surgeon working with Malawi Defence Force (MDF). One of the first two female military medical officers in MDF, aviation medical examiner for Malawi Civil Aviation and UN peacekeeping mission 2016-17. She values quality care regardless of socio-economic status and service to country. In her social time, Gladys, plays Malawi basketball community games as well as volunteering at Ndimoyo Palliative Care. she is an amateur golfer and likes gym and hiking. She has served at several medical association executive committees and joined MOA in 2018. Since September 2022, she was elected as vice president for the association after Mrs. Junier Kazembe. “A scalpel is never the first weapon of choice” is her favorite quote.
